Farmer Celsius does not like having tarsiers in his gardens so he cuts down Tomas' family home. Tomas and his family are forced to move away. Now the bugs start eating Farmer Celsius' crops because there are no tarsiers to eat the bugs. Farmer Celsius eventually realizes he needs the tarsiers in his gardens to protect his corn.
